About The Book

Jake Boulder’s help is requested by his best friend, Alfonse, when his cousin is crucified and burned alive along with his wife and children. As Boulder tries to track the heinous killer, a young woman is abducted. Soon her body is discovered and Boulder realises both murders have something unusual in common.

With virtually no leads for Boulder to follow, he strives to find a way to get a clue as to the killer’s identity. But is he hunting for one killer or more?

After a young couple are snatched in the middle of the night the case takes a brutal turn. When the FBI are invited to help with the case, Boulder finds himself warned off the investigation. When gruesome, and incendiary, footage from a mobile phone is sent to all the major US News outlets and the pressure to find those responsible for the crimes mounts. But with the authorities against him can Boulder catch the killer before it’s too late?

Claire’s Review:

“Killers who don’t just kill, but who use horrific methods”

The strap line on the front of the book is bang on – the four burning crosses were just the beginning….the beginning of a gruesome trail of bodies. A trail that Jake is compelled to follow to the bitter end and what a trail it is!! Jake is pushed into corners but he comes out fighting as you’d expect from him!

We see a different side to Jake, yes he’s still scared of his mom but he’s got himself a lady friend….and it’s lasting longer than his normal relationships….could this be it, Jake off the market for good?!

I don’t want to say too much about the plot #nospoiler but believe you me, you’re in for a treat. Graham Smith has plotted out a tense fast paced investigation for Jake following a killer with an unusual MO. I love Mr Smith’s writing style; it’s addictive and keeps me firmly in Utah when I read.

I think this is the most gruesome Mr Smith has written so far. I thought “Watching the Bodies” and his latest Harry Evans “I Know Your Secret” were gory in places but “The Kindred Killers” goes to another level…I even winced and my stomach turned at one of the deaths!

A massive thank you to Bloodhound books for my copy of The Kindred Killers and to the fantastical Sarah Hardy for inviting me on the Blog Tour. And a huge thank you to #LeaderOfTheCheer Noelle for letting me host this stop of the blog tour!
