~A Big Thank You from CBJ~

Well I don’t usually do this on my blog, but it has been one hell of an amazing year and I just thought it was appropriate to use this forum to tell all you readers, reviewers, authors and fellow bloggers how wonderful it has been getting to know each and every one of you! Oh..and to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! #MyBad!

CrimeBookJunkie started at the end if May 2015…a mere 7 months ago..after a lot of encouragement and support from one hell of an amazing friend and fellow blogger, Katherine Everett of BCB and More. So this girl gets a HUGE hug and a big THANKS from me!  ?

I then had the pleasure of “meeting” so many fellow reviewers/bloggers ~some in “real-life” and some, for the time being, via social media sites.  These people have become a huge part of my life and ultimately some of my best friends!  That is right #BlogSquad!  I am talking about you!! We have the lovely Sarah Hardy of ByTheLetterBookReviews, the wonderful Joseph Calleja of RelaxAndReadBookReviews, the hilarious Kate Moloney of BibliophileBookClub, the mad-hatter Shell Baker of Chellesbookreviews, the mysterious Amanda Oughton at GingerBookGeek and the sweet Claire Knight at Twitter.  Of course, it goes without saying that my mentor, Kat Everett is definitely included in that bunch of nutters! and the wonderful Vicki Wilkinson of ilovereading! You guys crack me up!

I have also taken on Claire Knight and Scottydog as Guest Reviewers and really look forward to what 2016 will bring for this #CrimeBookJunkieCrew.  These two write some proper cracking reviews, each with a different style and varied genre, that I just had to have them!  I mean, I almost bought the books after reading their reviews…and I already bloody read them!  I just know you will love their reviews as much as I do!

And where would I be without all the wonderful writers/authors whose books have enriched my life and caused me endless hours of…well pure and utter joy.  Not only have I had the privilege of meeting some of these guys — Like my new bestie Michael J Malone, the wonderful Emma L Clapperton who invited me to her book launch in Glasgow with Denzil Meyrick hosting, Leigh Russell at a signing and of course, the joker Col Bury — but they have also supported my blog and become great friends! The Bookouture Babes: Caroline Mitchell, Angie Marsons and Mel Sherratt/Marcie Steele. The absolutely amazing Mel Comley and Tara Lyons. The lovely Graham Smith, Mike Craven, Keith Nixon, Stephen Edger, Nicky Black, Kim Nash, Jeanette Hewitt (and Buster ?) , Douglas Skelton, Jane Issac (and Bollo ?) Joel Hames, Alison Taylor Baillie, Helen Smith, Alexandra Sokoloff & Craig Robertson, Sarah Hilary, Rebecca Bradley, Ann Troupe, Heide Goody, Mark Leggat, Marnie Riches, Andy Rivers, David McCaffrey, and my all time favourite debut author Michael H Wood (and Woody!!) to name a few…and I know there are so many more of you who I need to thanks so apologies if I have left you out…there are just so many!!

I cannot end without a mention of a few of the various bookclubs: Book Connectors, A Bunch of Book Bloggers, THE Book Club, CrimeBook Club–that I am a part of. A very supportive and fun community of like-minded peeps. And last but not least, the amazing Maxine Groves of Booklover Catlady Publicity & Reviews who has given me the opportunity of being a Publicity Assistant in her ever growing business! ?

So before this turns into a novel itself, just wanted to share my gratitude and thanks for making this year so absolutely mind-blowing and roll on 2016!

Happy Holidays you amazing peeps!

I was bowled over by your wonderful review and enthusiasm and in a few short months I feel that I have become part of a community – and I’m inspired every morning by your quotes – and I’ve discovered alot of new authors through your posts – and I love Buster! Thanks so much for everything and I wish you a lovely Christmas break and a fantastic 2016 x
