The Fracture by Morgan Cry: A Dark, Atmospheric & Addictively Twisty Slice of Scottish Noir! #bookreview @gojabrown @SevernHouse @RandomTTours

Absolutely buzzing to share my stop on the blog tour for The Fracture, a book that shows that Morgan Cry knows exactly how to drop a reader straight into the deep end. Blake Glover can’t catch a break to save his life, and I was living for it. A dodgy funeral, a missing man, and an ex-colleague threatening to stitch him up? Blake’s week goes from bad to “You’ve got to be kidding me.”

The Fracture is a dark, twisty, utterly addictive slice of Scottish Noir that grabbed me by the throat from page one and refused to loosen its grip. Blake Glover: ex-police, now taxi driver (but honestly, once a copper, always a copper) can’t escape his past even in the chilled-to-the-bone quiet of Fraserburgh. Aye… Blake’s peaceful small-town life never stood a chance.

The setting comes alive in this novel. Fraserburgh and Glasgow are so vivid on the pages, I could close my eyes and immediately be in the moment. And that dry Scottish humour? Perfection! The banter cuts through the tension like a knife, and the characters… I’d follow this chaotic bunch anywhere.

Every secret felt like it was hiding another secret. And the ending? Oof. Hit me right in the chest.

Would I recommend this book? You bet your sweet arse, I would!

If you love crime fiction that’s pacy, engaging and full of personality, this is the book for you. A brilliant follow-up and a fantastic series so far! (Easily read as a standalone IMO.)

My thanks to Anne Cater, the author and the publisher for providing me with an e-ARC of this book. Find out what everyone else thought by following the tour here 👇🏻
