So I have been asked to divulge 25 Random things about me from the lovely Kate Moloney at BibliophileBookClub. I thought this was a fabulous post idea so here goes:
1. What is your middle name?
Well I don’t actually have one! Apparently there was so much argument over choosing my first name, I guess my parents decided that Noelle was enough! I chose Mary as my confirmation name, after my Granny Quinn.
2. What is your favorite drink?
I try and drink at least 1-2L of water a day, but I absolutely LOVE cappuccino. I also enjoy a diet coke every now and again.
3. What is your favorite song at the moment?
I tend to listen to my downloaded song choices rather than a radio so would have to say Mr Brightside, by The Killers and absolutely anything by The Tragically Hip. I can play on repeat forever and not get bored. I think my taste in music is pretty diverse –all the way from rock, jazz, pop, country, blues…if it catches my ear, touches my heart and/or makes me smile or want to burst out into a ridiculous dance..well….I will listen to it!
4. What is your favorite food?
Well I am not going to lie…cheesecake! But it has to be the proper, tangy cheesecake with a crumbly base…otherwise I am just disappointed!
5. What is the last thing you bought?
Two, One, Three: A DCI Daley Thriller Short by Denzil Meyrick! Love DCI Daley so I cannot wait to read this!
6. Favorite book of all time?
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevski but I also absolutely adored But For The Grace of God by Paul Grzegorzek. I have read that book 5 times now and each time it gets better and better!
7. Favorite Color?
Burgundy, Black or Grey.
8. Do you have any pets?
I have a beautiful chocolate labrador named Buster. He is my world. I mean, come one….look at that face!
9. Favorite Perfume?
I have two faves: Lady Million and Cool Water
10. Favorite Holiday?
It is not really a holiday, but I just love Halloween! The atmosphere, the excitement…the chocolate! What is not to love!
11. Are you married?
Nope! I have mixed views about marriage…if I love someone, I don’t need a piece of paper to prove it. But then again, I have not yet been in a relationship with someone who has changed my mind on that! So who knows!
12. Have you ever been out of the country, if so how many times?
As Toronto, Canada is my hometown and Ireland, my country of birth..yes I have! I have been to various places in Canada, America, Ireland and England. I would definitely love to travel and explore the world some more though! Having a private jet would make traveling so much easier…and truth be told, I have been seriously researching about private jet rental costs and whether I’d be able to afford it. In fact, I have heard that some private jet rentals cost much less than the commercial airline tickets, but it also depends upon the time of travel. Apart from my airline desires, I would love to go on a road-trip across Europe one day!
13. Do you speak any other language?
I can read and understand a bit of French..that is it!
14. How many siblings do you have?
I have one sister, two brothers, a step-sister and two step-brothers!
15. What is your favorite store?
Hmmmmmm…any and every book store there is of course! And if they sell stationary, well I may just be in heaven!
16. Favorite Restaurant?
I don’t really have. a favourite restaurant. If the food is good…well I would go back, but I have not come across a restaurant where I think “I must go back there”…not ye anyway!
17. When was the last time you cried?
This is easy to answer. 25/10/2015. My gorgeous and crazy tabby cat Pebs (Pebbles) died beside me and my heart broke. I cried for 3 days straight and I still get emotional thinking about it. I miss my baby girl.
18. Favorite Blog?
Wow, there are so many but these are my #BlogSquad crew and of course my inspiration and mentor get a big, fat mention too!
19. Favorite Movie?
I love films and some of my faves include: The Princess Bride, The Breakfast Club, The Green Mile, Bridget Jones, To Kill A Mockingbird, High Fidelity, Hot Fuzz…the list goes on!
20. Favorite TV show?
Breaking Bad. I also love the original Law & Order series (US version) and true crime shows.

22. What phone do you have?
Samsung S5
23. What’s your favourite pastime?
Well that is a really tough question…NOT!! Reading of course! I also love spending time with my dog and going on walks. I have also recently attended a few bookish events, meeting new people and authors and hope to do some more of this! Especially looking forward to Harrogate 2016!!!
24. Can you cook?
I can cook and I have renewed my interest in baking over the last 12 months so I bake my own bread (no machine..the proper way!) and cakes and I like trying new recipes.
25. Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
I have both ears pierced 5 times on each side but when I got a “proper job”, I took out the majority so only wear two plus one on the top of my left ear. No tattoos.
