I cannot wait to start reading this myself after hearing some really great things and seeing Claire’s review just makes me want to *bump* it up the TBR! Oh…and I bloody love the cover!!

When I finished My Girl, I was in a state of shock. I’ve not read anything like it before….this review is the hardest I’ve had to write as I really don’t want to spoil the story.
It’s a book of three parts…the first half of the book is Paige’s story, her road to self destruction following her husband’s suicide. Drink and prescription drugs are a nasty combination but mixed up with grief, it’s a recipe for disaster.
The middle is someone else’s story but I won’t say too much about that…#nospoiler.
In the final part we return to Paige’s story but it’s a roller coaster of shocking discoveries.
It is definitely one to read if you like psychological thrillers. You are totally blindsided with Paige’s journey to self destruction to notice other things going on. Even Joanne Robertson over on My Chestnut Reading Tree #queenofguessingtwists was totally hoodwinked by Jack Jordan’s writing so that is saying something….as I read the second half of the book, I kept shaking my head and my jaw would drop at the revelations.
