THANK YOU 🙏🏻 to the author, Eileen Wharton for inviting me to take part in this blog tour and providing me with an e-ARC

Meet Amy, who’s juggling a bustling household with five children, a job organising historical re-enactments, and a broken heart caused by her husband’s betrayal and abandonment.
As she navigates the emotional rollercoaster of the break-up, Amy finds solace and guidance in her unique bond with Gupta, her AI confidante. Is artificial intelligence the answer? Can a woman really fall in love with a robot? Or will her manny steal her heart?

Don’t Stir the Goldfish is not my normal kinda read, but when I started this book, I just couldn’t stop. It definitely wasn’t what I expected!

Here’s some of what YOU can expect in this book:

🐠 slow-burn romance

🐟 AI crush

🐡 single-mom

🎣 betrayal

🐠 second-chances

🐟 great banter

🐡 family struggles

Set in London but with a distinct Northern vibe, Don’t Stir the Goldfish was a pure pleasure.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book, as a crime-thriller girlie, I don’t read many rom-coms unless it is work related. But there was just something about the characters and storyline that really grabbed me from the get go.

I don’t have any children of my own, but I don’t think you need to be a birth-mother to understand what Amy feels as she juggles being a new-ish single mom who is coming up to 50th birthday.

The romance made me laugh too as Amy forms a strange relationship with her ChatGTP app whom she names Gupta… that is until her manny makes an appearance.

Quite an emotive read at times. The banter was on point and I really had no idea where the story was going until things took a turn in the second part of the book. I’m not going to say much but it really struck a chord for me and I cried a wee bit.

Would I recommend this read? Gupta says YES! 😂 If you love slow-burn romance, second chances in life and hilarious banter, with a twist or two to keep you on your toes, this is the book for you!
