My Review:

Woohoo!  I love it when I get my fix of #Justice and M.A. Comley has done just that with this short story, Unfair Justice.

Set in London, the reader is faced with stalking, murder, secrets and jealousy as the team try to bring justice for the victim.

The plot is fast-paced and I raced throught the pages!  I loved that alongside the murder investigation, tidbits about the characters and their world outside the police were dropped like crumbs in the woods – I cannot wait to see where the trail will take us as not everything was revealed!

As always, the author teases us with familiar faces who I love and some I miss from the more recent books in the series.  I think that is what I love so much about M.A. Comley’s short stories and novella’s.  We are taken back in time to where it all began.  Lorne Simpkins is one of my favourite female lead Detectives.  She is fiesty, charismatic but also quite vulnerable at times and the author just makes her feel so real!  It is almost like one day I can expect to bump into her in the street.  I really don’t want to talk about the characters too much as I don’t want to spoil anything, but what I can say is- their voices are easily recognised in a narrative that is unique to M.A. Comley’s writing style.

How I managed to avoid the Eeeek’s and OMFG’s, I don’t know!  I felt them…every single time I turned the page… because this series is exciting to me….the plots, characters and twists always leave me squealing with joy when I finish and absolutely desperate for the next one!  Would I recommend this read?  OMFG of course I do!!!  In fact, I recommend the whole series!!  Go on….click the book below…..you will not regret it!
