Wow! I loved the opening of this novel – I instantly felt the tension and the hooky chapter end made me want to keep turning the pages. Told from multiple POV’s, you get different perspectives of the same story and are privy to more info than the characters at times – this made for some heart racing reading! I loved the concept of this novel and the clever way the author dangled details so that I questioned everything throughout.
Well developed characters really drove this cleverly woven plot. You have this perfect little family to start, until the truth starts coming to light and my jaw hit the floor more than once. The author then sprinkles a few more likeable and unlikeable characters to really keep you on your toes and give you the impression that all is not what it seems with any of them. I had my own theories going through my head but I have to say, I was only half right.
When you think that it couldn’t get any better, the author punches you in the gut with some cracking revelations – prepare for some head spins because you will be blown away!
Would I recommend this read? You bet your ass I would! Intense, chilling, unyielding and twisty as f*ck – I can’t recall a thriller that had me so engrossed I just didn’t want it to end! Do yourself a favour and add The Serial Killer’s Wife to your TBR today!
