Jeez louise – what a brilliant book! š± I loved the concept behind He Said, She Said by Erin Kelly. Filled with secrets and lies this twisty thriller had me glued to my kindle. Told mainly from two POVās: His (Kit) and Hers (Laura) it was cleverly written and as the reader, I felt I knew more than the characters but still had some shocking OMFG moments thrown my way. I really enjoyed how eclipses featured in the book and related to the characters themselves. There are three who featured heavily – Kit, Laura & Beth with a fourth (Jamie) that plays a significant role in the story but you donāt see him as often. There are also some minor characters who we learn a lot of backstory of the main characters from. I had this book on my kindle for ages and was kicking myself for waiting so long. A dark, addictive, complex story featuring allegations and perspectives that will leave you questioning everything and everyone. Highly recommended!
Holy friggin sh*tballs š¤Æ I read Good Me, Bad Me by Ali Land in one sitting. I was captivated by the main character Annie/Milly and was on the edge of my seat as this story unfolded. Despite guessing a few things, I was still unsure until the author revealed them. This was a deep dive into the psyche of a child who endured horrendous abuse at the hands of her mother and brings to surface the whole nature vs. nurture debate often found in criminological theories. Another dark, chilling read that sent shivers down my spine. The fear factor was real and I think this is one of those books that will stay with me for some time. Highly recommended!
